Wild Dagga | Leonotis Leonurus Flowers from Peru
Content: Dried flower of Leonotis Leonurus
Leonotis leonurus (wild dagga) is a perennial plant that grows for several years. Its flowers bloom in vibrant orange color and long, thin leaves. The wild dagga also grows prolifically, reaching a width of one meter to two meters in height.
In Africa it is known as “wild dagga”.
The leaves and buds of this South African bush are smoked by the Khoikhoi and Bushmen as an inebriant. In California and Central America it is used as a substitute for cannabis.
Wild dagga, on the other hand, has made a name for itself in the damp grasslands of Southern Africa. In fact, the word “dagga” is derived from the Khoikhoi word “dachab”—a name for cannabis. The Khoikhoi are a nomadic tribe that reside in Southwestern Africa.
What is the difference between WILD DAGGA and KLIP DAGGA?
Both plants have a long history, although it wasn’t until more recently that global markets sought out the plants for their cannabis-like effects.
Despite this, psychonauts recommend choosing wild dagga, as wild dagga is more potent.
